Position Type: Part-Time
We are looking for an Instructor/Lecturer to teach Principles of Microeconomics. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of economic theories and a proven ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver lectures on microeconomic theory, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Support students in research and academic development.
- Develop and deliver lectures on fundamental microeconomic concepts such as supply and demand, consumer behavior, and market structures.
- Create and update course materials, including syllabi, readings, and assignments, that reflect current economic theories and practices.
- Assess student performance through exams, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback to foster understanding and improvement.
- Engage students in discussions about real-world economic issues and policy debates to enhance their analytical thinking skills.
- Conduct office hours and provide academic support to help students grasp complex microeconomic concepts and applications.
- Integrate quantitative and graphical analysis into teaching to illustrate economic models and their practical implications.
- Incorporate technology and interactive tools, such as simulations and data analysis software, to enhance the learning experience.
- Mentor students interested in pursuing advanced studies or careers in economics, providing guidance on research and career opportunities.
- Stay updated on current economic research and policy developments to ensure the course content is relevant and up-to-date.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Economics or a related field.
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate level.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Must be fluent in English (Arabic will be an added advantage)

- Must currently reside in Qatar hold a valid Qatari ID
